This forum is a place to have a productive discussion among members of various interests. In order to achieve our aims, goals, and to clarify various responsibilities of all our members, please read this document carefully. We do insist that you abide by the rules detailed below. Rules are subject to changes and amendments as required.

Your participation in the discussion is a privilege and not a right. Some new users will have certain restrictions placed on their account for a limited period. This may involve their posts requiring validation, and limited access to certain forum features.

The following are guidelines to follow when posting a message or reply:

1. "Free Speech" here means that you do not pay for speaking your mind. We reserve the right to remove any comment or comments that are not in line with these rules, without giving reasons, notifications, or explanations to anyone.

2. Posts that contain web site links or other references that promote sentiments are strictly prohibited. This forum aims to promote good relations with all people, and will not entertain opinions that are counter-productive to that aim.

3. Exercise courtesy at all times. Think and review your post carefully before submitting. Please use the edit or delete button if needed. Avoid personal insults or flames. Please do not involve yourself in something that does not concern you. If you are joking, make sure other members do not take it the wrong way.

4. Please read the forum description before posting or opening a new topic, and post in the relevant Forum Category. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. When responding to an existing thread, make sure your post is relevant to the topic being discussed. Members should use a "normal font", avoid excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or colored text, and punctuation's (e.g.! and?) in your posts. Avoid the use of capital letters or large bold fonts to make a point. This is considered impolite on public forums. Please do not attempt to disguise your text by using *asterisk* or -dashes- to override our language filter (word censor).

5. Do not create multiple accounts or a similar name of other members in an attempt to impersonate them. The administrator will replace names created at the time of registration that are obscene or slanderous. Your right to choose another name is forfeited for deliberately being obnoxious.

6. Please do not disclose personal information and private messages of members in emails, forum, and private messaging. Display of persistent foul language, harassment, insults, racial slurs, or stalking members, call for violent activities is not an acceptable behavior. Do not flood the forum with random long postings that are impossible to read and which are not conducive to discussion. Likewise submitting meaningless posts for the sole purpose of increasing one's post count will not be tolerated.

7. Needless to say, no nudity, porn links or any other offensive material will be permitted anywhere in the forum, which includes links to such material.

8. Non-Australian members are also welcome in our forum. However, since this is an Australian based forum, we ask that you respect our place of boundary and be aware of differences between other countries as a part of knowledge gained rather than debating over trivial matters.

9. Do not promote any illegal or violent activities, provide, transmit, or upload instructional information about illegal activities and materials that would be harmful to any of our forum members.

10. We are conscious about copyrighted materials posted or uploaded in our forum. We are governed by the laws of Australia, and must exercise these rights to protect the respective authors and content should not be used without their consent. Undeclared sources will result in an immediate deletion of your posts. Quoting from these forums is permitted as long as credit is given to Roadsmart.

11. The use of anonymiser proxies and other IP hiding techniques is not permitted. These IP's are blocked on a regular basis, which may limit your access to the Forums. Continued use of these systems may lead to your account being terminated.

5. Violations of above rules may receive an immediate warning or banning. Any attempts to ignore this action will result in further action that will limit your rights in postings. Displays of antagonistic behavior will result in deletion of your account permanently. Attempting to create another account after receiving a warning may result in sterner action being taken.
